Open the door and discover a modern and beautiful home with traditional and adobe flares. The woodwork was hand carved in Santa Fe, the furniture was imported from Mexico or made by local craftsmen. Many of the artistic details are from neighboring Native American pueblos.

Original artwork on the walls are from southwestern artists, including pieces by Brian Thomas. We built the house to make sure every window, not just the floor to ceiling windows, serve as a view to some amazing vista outdoors.

The modern yet authentic home is a luxury accommodation, complete with all the amenities and quality furnishings required to ensure a perfect vacation.

The home sits on 22 pristine acres and is secluded, remote and surrounded by the most beautiful vistas on planet earth. Marvel at the views of Ghost Ranch, Pedernal, Red Rocks, Abiquiú Lake and the Chama River. Cherish shooting stars, sunrises and sunsets, rainbows and beauty simply too amazing to believe. Enjoy every moment, because it's very hard to leave.

Make time to experience the wonder of wildlife. Watch for eagles, elk and jack rabbits darting to and fro. Listen for howling coyotes in Ghost Ranch. We have never seen snakes or dangerous animals during our hikes, but, as always, caution should be exercised. The land in this area is free-range land, which means cows, horses and animals are permitted to roam freely. Many of the paths to the lake were originally broken in by the cows heading down for water. Several years ago, we put up fences as you enter the neighborhood in an attempt to keep the cows away from our homes. But don’t be surprised if you find them meandering about.

"I lived in this astoundingly beautiful home for two months. I cannot imagine that there is a more perfect place to experience the beauty of New Mexico's high desert. Abiquiu Lake, Cerro Pedernal and Ghost Ranch provide incredibly beautiful landscapes and this home puts you right in the midst of that beauty from every room in the house.

If you are like me, you will catch your breath every morning as you get your first view of your surroundings from the floor to ceiling windows. You can sit with a beverage on the portal in the afternoon and watch the light change on the red rocks. You can be enveloped by quiet broken only by the lapping of Abiquiu Lake on the shore below you. You can get lost in the vastness of the sky, day or night.

This would be enough if the living quarters were only mediocre. But they are exceptional. Comfortable beds with high quality linens. A well-equipped kitchen. Beautiful carved doors and bath tiles. Hot tub. A ultra-responsive owner who clearly wants your stay to be the best. If you get a chance to go to Abiquiu, stay in this home. You will not be sorry and I expect you will remember your stay there fondly for a very long time." – Sharon K., Fennville, MI
