Perched on a mesa top above Abiquiú Lake, the Mesa and its seven acres are in the heart of Georgia O’Keeffe territory. One of America’s greatest and most celebrated painters of the 20th century, O’Keeffe is known for her beautiful paintings of this area. Staying in our vacation properties is like walking into an O’Keeffe painting! Guest after guest writes us to say how unprepared they were for the beauty. It’s always beyond what they imagined and more amazing than the pictures can capture.

The home sits on seven pristine acres and is surrounded by the most beautiful vistas on planet earth. Hike among the pinyon pine trees, the official state tree of New Mexico, that surround the property. Cherish shooting stars, sunrises and sunsets, rainbows and beauty simply too amazing to believe. Sitting in the hot tub is one of our favorite spots – simply gorgeous. Look for eagles, elks, jack rabbits and even wandering cows. Listen for the Ghost Ranch coyotes howl. Float, swim, kayak, fish or just take  in the beauty of Abiquiú Lake. Enjoy every moment, because it is very hard to leave.

When you are ready to venture out to Abiquiú and the northern New Mexico area, the Mesa is your perfect home base to Discover Abiquiú.
