Abiquiú Lake Mesa

Beautiful one-bedroom, one-bath Abiquiú Lake home

Wonderful indoor and outdoor living spaces

A spectacular one-bedroom vacation home with wonderful indoor and outdoor living spaces.

Perched on a mesa top above Abiquiú Lake, the Mesa and its seven acres are in the heart of Georgia O’Keeffe territory. The views and stillness are captivating. Guest after guest writes us to say how unprepared they were for the beauty. It’s always beyond what they imagined and more amazing than the pictures can capture. Hike among the pinyon pine trees (the official state tree of New Mexico) that surround the property. Sitting in the hot tub is one of our favorite spots – simply gorgeous. Look for eagles, elks, jack rabbits and even wandering cows. Listen to the Ghost Ranch coyotes howl. Float, swim, kayak, fish or just take in the beauty of Abiquiú Lake. When you are ready to venture out to Abiquiú and the northern New Mexico area, the Mesa is your perfect home base to Discover Abiquiú. And, if you need more space, The Studios of Abiquiú Lake are located on the property.

"We came here for our honeymoon and the very first thing to say is WOW!!! The view that you have from the kitchen table while you’re enjoying breakfast is breath taking. Then when you step outside when it’s dark it is beyond any type of quiet that I have ever experienced. We were fortunate enough to get to experience the longest lunar eclipse in over 500 years here and it was spectacular. When that moon went dark there were so many stars something that anyone from a city has never gotten to experience.

If you are an outdoors person you will love being here. There are two National forest within a short drive of here that allow a lot of hiking or trail driving. There's a lake that we saw people fishing in. In the warmer months, I’m sure kayaking would be amazing too.

There's the ski town of Taos (that’s maybe an hour away) that has a lot of cute shops to visit and the drive there is beautiful. You get to drive in the Rio Grande Gorge for a little bit and you can see the canyon in the distance." – Christopher G.
